Duanne is a United States Army veteran, husband of 33 years, married to his wife Debbie, and a longtime resident in Downingtown with two sons who are Downingtown Area School District (DASD) graduates and played football all through middle and high school. "My family spent many memorable weekends in Kottmeyer Stadium with our Downingtown community, making this an essential part of our lives." Duanne's professional career has been in management in the contracted food industry. Duanne enjoys volunteering at The Chester County Food Bank. He has been an umpire for the Lionville Youth Association and PIAA for the past 20+ years, beginning with his son playing baseball on those fields – "Community and involvement are most important to me." As your School Board Director, Duanne will advocate for students, teachers, and parents - He will ensure all students have equal opportunity for academic and personal growth regardless of background or circumstance. Duanne will advocate for and encourage personal agency and accountability to prepare students to succeed after high school, ensure all students, teachers, and parents' voices are heard, and aim for solutions using teamwork. Finally, Duanne will ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and effectively, not excessively, with all taxpayers in mind and aiming for students' solid academic performance.
